1. Write down your goals.
Keep it short. Life is a process, review and re-write it if your plans change. It’s ok to change your plans and adjust your goals.
2. Be realistic.
We all want to see change overnight but it’s not going to happen. Personal development takes time and lots of work. If you set unrealistic goals you are setting yourself up for failure and you will become discouraged.
3. Control is often an illusion.
You cannot control everything, some things that you cannot and probably should not change. It’s more about the path that self-development takes you down, not the destination that counts.
4. You must act.
Tips, guides and lists are great, but if you don’t act on them nothing will change. Small things applied consistently will make a difference.
