5 Ways To Start Taking Control

Taking control does not have to be difficult.  Start small and build on each success.  Here are 5 steps to begin.

1. Take Care of Yourself
If you eat well, exercise and get plenty of rest it will be easier to be more positive and productive.

2. Be Grateful For What You Have
We have a tendency to think about everything bad that happens to us.  Take 30 seconds a day, several times a day if needed, and think about all the good things you have.  Make a list of them if you need to, but focus on what you have and things you are grateful for.

3.  Don’t Make Assumptions
Whenever someone is not in a good mode or something goes wrong it’s easy to think you are the cause.  Unless you have proof about it, don’t worry that you did something wrong.  If your not sure, ask.

4. Get More Socially Active
Surround yourself with healthy, happy people, and their positive energy will affect you in a positive way!

5. Stop Your Negative Thoughts
When you find yourself thinking negative, make an effort to change your state.  Get up, listen to music that makes you feel good, go for a walk.  The more often you do this the easier it will be to recognize and the less frequent it will happen.

If you do each of these every day you should start to see a difference in a couple days.  In a couple weeks you’ll look back and wonder why you didn’t do this sooner.  Let me know how it goes for you.
